Toss up between Newark and Irvington IMO. Last year, Irvington had more ARMED robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and murder than Newark. I mean, it DOES border Newark...who am I kidding? Both are dangerous AF.

To be honest, there ARE some nice pocket areas of Newark. After they built the PRU Center and the NJPAC, things started getting cleaned up. But for the most part, avoid.
